Keep The Mission Moving
Every project has a story. Every family has a face. But behind every meal delivered, every donation distributed, every garden harvested and every community served, there are essential expenses that make the work possible.
When you donate to a FTLOM specific outreach project, 100% of your designated funds go directly towards that project.
Because of our commitment, we still have another important needs that aren't always as visible: the monthly expenses required to actually operate our nonprofit and keep our work moving forward in both Guatemala and Kansas City.
Our current operational expenses are approximately $2,800 each month.
These funds help cover:

Accounting and bookkeeping in both the United States and Guatemala

Attorney fees and legal receipts in Guatemala for our Guatemalan nonprofit branch - El Amor de Mateo

Fuel, insurance and maintenance for a vehicle in Guatemala, used by our in-country assistant to oversee and support our projects

Transportation expenses for local outreach in Kansas City, including our work with Uplift KC and Newhouse KC

Office supplies and administrative expenses

Website hosting, maintenance and technology

Apps and programs used for reporting, communication and non-profit operations

Marketing and outreach expenses

Storage unit rental where donations are collected & stored throughout the year until they are distributed or shipped to Guatemala

Two full-time gardener salaries in Guatemala who plant, maintain and harvest our community garden in San Antonio
The food grown in that garden helps provide fresh produce to families in our after-school program and others in need throughout the community, including homebound elderly individuals, local organizations and hospitals.
THE WORK BEHIND THE WORK
Operational expenses may not be the most exciting thing to give toward but they are what make everything else possible.
A non-profit cannot serve families, manage projects, transport supplies, maintain programs, communicate with donors or expand its impact without the necessary infrastructure to enable that work.
